Opening General Session
Wednesday February 26, 2025 10:15am - 11:15am EST
The opening session features keynote speaker Joel Hilchey.  As a change leadership expert, entrepreneur, and professional eye opener, Joel knows that growth demands innovation but that change is often resisted. What if there was a simpler way to get results? With a mix of hilarious antics (including juggling rat traps...yes, you read that right), powerful messages, and practical solutions, Joel's insights into leadership and innovation will help you and your organization imagine a better way.

Joel is an ideas guy. His gift seems to stem from a strange combination of observation, insight, and blatant disregard for conventional thinking. He's also a juggler (literally and figuratively). In addition to leading the Beanstalk Creative team as Executive Producer & CEO, he maintains a busy schedule as a keynote speaker, creating unforgettable spectacles on stage. Joel has authored three books, (two of them with Brandon Love), and he taught engineering for over a decade at McMaster University, where he was named one of the Top 150+ Alumni.
